Dog Journeys: Designing from Ethnographic Methods

The Goal

Gain exposure to interdisciplinary research buffeted by ethnography and Human Centered Design (HCD). Deep end on ethnographic methods and design techniques, to appropriate for extensive research.

The Project

Select a site to observe ethnographically, find a problem to design for and develop a response. Periodically, present our findings and update peers on how the project idea was developing.

The Scope

We decided to center our project around the Montgomery Animal Care and Adoption Center because it was new territory for us and it seemed an interesting challenge to possibly design for animals.

The Report

To start, we tried our best to experience the space while holding our preconceptions at bay, and instead waited to see where the project would take us...

Due to the sensitive nature of this project, its overview is not presented here. If you would like to know more, please email me for our report!
